Study Office

Lehre_at_lmu_high_resThe Study Office of the Faculty 16, in cooperation with the Deans of Studies, Prof. Thomas Augustin (Statistics), Prof. Konstantinos Panagiotou (Mathematics) and Prof. Christian Böhm (Computer Science), collects and conceives suggestions for improving teaching at the Faculty. Special attention is paid to the three main areas of focus from the support program Lehre@LMU: Strengthening the research orientation, strengthening the practical orientation and additional tutorials.

In addition, the Student Office carries out various Teaching@LMU projects at the Institute of Mathematics itself.

News about Lehre@F16.LMU:

  • 01.08.2018: The joint application for the projects within Lehre@F16.LMU in the funding phase Oct. 2018 - 2020 was approved.
  • 04.05.2018: The Teaching@LMU application for the funding phase Oct. 2018 - 2020 has been submitted. It includes applications for the continuation of existing Lehre@LMU projects as well as new projects.
  • 01.01.2017: At the beginning of the new year the management of the study office has changed. The management has passed to Daniel Sommerhoff.
  • 01.01.2017: The joint application for the projects within Lehre@F16.LMU in the funding phase Oct. 2016 - 2018 was approved.
  • 2016-04-25: The Teaching@LMU application for the funding phase Oct. 2016 - 2018 has been submitted. It includes applications for the continuation of existing teaching@LMU projects as well as new projects.
  • 04.11.2016: This year's student research congress is currently being planned. It will take place in the SuSe 2016.
  • 18.04.2015: This year's student research congress will take place on April 18.
  • 08.07.2014: The notice of approval for the Lehre@LMU projects for the years 2015 and 2016 has arrived. Numerous projects can be continued - including the student research projects.
  • 10.05.2014: The first student research congress of faculty 16 takes place. Students report on their completed research projects.

  • Do you want to work on research-relevant issues during your studies? Within the framework of a student research project you will receive financial support for this.

Latest news via Lehre@math.LMU:

  • 11.04.2016: For all sophomore students the Problem Lab is offered again.
  • 11.04.2016: Tutor training will again take place in SuSe 2016.
  • 11.04.2016: The opening hours of the PlusPunkts are fixed: Mo, 9.45-11.45, Tu, 11.30-13.30, We 12.00-14.00, Thu 9.45-12.00, Fr, 15.45-17.45.
  • 12.10.2015: For all first semester students the Problem Lab is offered again.
  • 07.08.2015: PlusPunkt opening hours during breaks: 7.8.15 10-12, 14.9.15 10-12, 7.10.15
  • 13.04.2015: The Problem Lab goes into the second round.
  • Research Seminars are offered for students of the teaching profession and the Lernort for gaining practical experience.
