Research Seminars@math.LMU
In the research seminars at the Institute of Mathematics students are given access to research topics. The seminars offer the opportunity to get to know the research methods of the respective subject under close supervision of the lecturer or to work independently on research-relevant questions. It is not uncommon for the topics to result in final theses. The seminars are held partly on a weekly basis during the semester, partly as a block at an external seminar location.
Seminars previously sponsored by Lehre@LMU:
- Research seminars of the Dürr/Pickl working group for interested bachelor students of mathematics and physics and members of the TMP program.
- Research seminars in mathematics didactics: In addition to the catalog of subject didactics lectures, these seminars are aimed at students who have already heard most of the didactics lectures. Some seminars also replace the corresponding didactics lecture.
More lecturers have planned research seminars for the coming semesters. As soon as concrete dates are fixed, they will be announced here.
