Stefan Schreieder's participation in the student conference, which took place in Saarbrücken in September as part of the DMV Conference 2012, was particularly successful. There he received the award for the best final thesis in Algebraic Geometry for his master thesis. The thesis entitled "Dualization invariance and a new complex elliptic genus" was completed in 2011 and supervised by Professor Kotschick.
